5ive will no longer be on the "Boys Of Summer" Tour because they were told they would have to sing live [instead of lip singing] and they refused. INOJ will be taking the opening slot instead for most of the tour. 15 year old singer Mandy Moore will be the opening act for *N Sync on July 7 @ the GTE Amphitheatre [Virginia Beach, VA] and on September 3 @ the Gund Arena [Cleveland, OH].

There was an editing mistake during the Blockbuster Awards that those of you with sharp eyes may have noticed. When they showed *NSync on stage accepting, they flashed out to the audience applauding for *NSync. However, who was sitting in the audience...but *NSync themselves!!! Wow severe deja vu!
As reported in earlier news, *NSync and Gloria Estefan have teamed up to record the title song for the film The Music of My Heart. The film also marks Estefan's feature film debut. Formerly titled 50 Violins, the picture stars Meryl Streep, Angela Bassett, and Aidan Quinn. Though directed by Wes Craven, the film doesn't fall into the horror genre, instead telling the real-life story of Roberta Guaspari, a violin teacher in East Harlem, N.Y.
*NSync and Estefan filmed the video in a Miami high school this weekend, while the band was in South Florida shooting their pay-per-view.
Grammy-winner Diane Warren penned the song, which is described as "an inspirational ballad with lyrics that capture a range of feelings and emotions." David Foster served as the producer. "The Music of My Heart" will be released as a single on Aug. 3. The Epic soundtrack to the film will be released Sept. 14, and it will contain both the regular version of the song as well as a remix by Estefan's producer/husband, Emilio. The film is scheduled to open Oct. 15.
We finally have some info on Teenapalooza '99: *NSync, Britney Spears, 98°, Wild Orchid, B*Witched, Tyrese, and Blaque will be performing in this special show on Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles, CA. It's scheduled to be televised on UPN Thursday, Aug. 31, 1999 @ 8:00-10:00pm. See YM's September issue for a chance to win a date with one of the bands!

This Friday, ABC will air "Tarzan In Concert!" featuring Phil Collins recording the movie's soundtracks. There will be several segments on *NSync recording their duet with Phil. The show airs at 9pm est.

STREETDATE June 12, 1999---
*NSync's Pay-Per-View is currently scheduled to air September 11, 1999. "'N Sync 'N Concert" will be taped in Fort Lauderdale on July 2, and in addition to the performance, viewers will be able to get up-close-and-personal with Lance, Justin, J.C., Chris, and Joey during a free half-hour countdown show before the concert.
On the May 29th news brief we told you about an ad from Clairol Herbal Essences, which is giving you a chance to win a 4-night/5-day trip for four to meet *N SYNC at a concert in 2000. It includes your hotel, concert tickets, round-trip airfare, free meals and you get to meet the band backstage. Well, if you missed the ad, you can also go here to enter.

At the Official *NSync Site, if you click on the "IYDKYDG" logo in the left frame, you'll get a pop-up box telling you how your Coke Card can get you access to exclusive *NSync stuff on the web. The teaser line reads: "...as a Coke Card holder you'll have access to our IYDKYDG V.I.P. area where you can enjoy never before seen photos from *NSync's current "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" Tour, exclusive *NSync screensavers and wallpaper, and previously unavailable *NSync video clips."
*NSync guests on Blaque's album, on the song called "Bring It All To Me". Hear a clip in real audio.
*NSync appears in Tatyana Ali's new video "Everytime" along with Will Smith and B*witched. You can see her with Chris and his puppy, Busta, with Lance and Joey in the corridor, and getting a hug with Justin who makes faces at the camera.
At the website for BMG Australia [*NSync's Australian label], there is a new page for the band with the message: "*NSync one of the biggest pop bands in the world today are coming to you exclusively from LA for an intimate interview with some of Australia's hottest pop journalists...So, If you like N Sync and want to know more about them tune in here on Monday July 19 at 5.00pm, find out more about the boys and check out their new video for 'God Must Have Spent A Little More Time With You."

It seems as though *NSync's touring break isn't really that much of a break after all. My sources at BMG-UK tell me the band is due over there at the beginning of June for a press tour. Here are the dates and tv appearances I have so far for England:

*Pop Megastars 'N Sync to Headline Entertainment at Opening Ceremonies of
the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup*
'N Sync, the seven-time platinum pop
group, will headline an all-star lineup of performances during the
Opening Ceremonies of the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup at Giants Stadium
in New Jersey, it was announced today by Organizing Committee President
and CEO Marla Messing.
The group, described as pop "demigods," is interrupting a month of
recording in their Orlando studio to make a special appearance for the
Women's World Cup on June 19th. Their self-titled debut album has
already sold 7 million copies in the U.S. alone and all 53 dates of
their upcoming July 8 - Sept. 17 summer concert tour have sold out.
Joining 'N Sync in the high energy celebration that takes place prior to
the Opening Match, which features the defending Olympic champion United
States vs. Denmark, is British teen sensation Billie who will perform
the official song of the tournament, "Because We Want To." Her singing
and dancing have already earned the 16-year-old stunning success in
Great Britain. With her song, "Because We Want To," she became the first
British female solo artist to debut at #1 on the UK pop chart.
Completing the teen-oriented program is the self-described "Irish
hip-hop/pop" group from Dublin, Ireland, B*Witched. Their first single
"C'est La Vie," which was released in the U.S. last month, has already
reached the top 10 in Billboard's Hot 100 chart. Billboard Magazine has
described the group as "the natural heirs to the Spice Girls."
"The Women's World Cup is going to kick-off this summer with an exciting
Opening Ceremonies that will feature some of the most popular artists
around today" said Messing. "Young women who love soccer are going to be
thrilled to see that some of their favorite music artists also have a
connection to the sport."
Tickets for the opener and all matches of the 1999 FIFA Women's World
Cup, which will be played June 19 - July 10, can be purchased by calling

Cup are Boston (Foxboro Stadium), Chicago (Soldier Field), Los Angeles
